Depressurizing the Steam and Coffee Boilers
Mavam equipment can be fully depressurized and cooled before servicing the equipment. This allows for quick changing of components.
To depressurize the machine on the Boiler Unit front panel press the lower black button once scroll over to fill and press once.
No Heat will appear on the screen. All heating elements are now turned off but you still have 24v dc to all valves.
Turn on the steam wands to bleed the steam pressure out of the machine. This should take 2-3 times as the steam shuts off after 2 min.
If you’re working on the coffee boiler system of the machine you can cool down the water in the boilers by turning the groups on with the pumps on (right group button in Manual mode) while depressurizing the steam boiler. Since the elements are off the hot water will be replaced with cold water. Continue to run the water through the groups until the steam is depressurized.
To remove the final pressure turn off water incoming to machine and run water pressing the pre infusion button. This will not turn on the pump and allow you to drain water out of the coffee boilers systems using the pressure existing in the system.
Once water stops turn off breaker switch and unplug machine before servicing.
*If only servicing the Steam Boiler you do not need to depressurize the coffee boilers
*running pumps with no water is bad for the pump heads. If autofill comes on during coffee boiler depressurization unplug pump or turn off machine
